[Verse 1]
C
Well, I hear you're driving someone else's car now
Em
She said you came and took your stuff away
C
All the poetry in the trunk you kept your life in
Em
I knew that it would come to that some day
[Pre-chorus 1]
C
Like a sad hallucination
When I opened up my eyes
Em
The train had passed the station
And you were trapped inside
C
And I never wonder where you went
D
I only wonder why, I wonder why
[Chorus]
C
Oh, Caroline
Em
Oh-oh-oh-oh, Caroline
C
Oh-oh-ohhh, Caroline
Em
Whoa-whoa-oh, Caroline
[Verse 2]

[Pre-chorus]
C
Like a memory in motion
You were only passing through
Em
That is all you'll ever know of life
That's all you'll ever do
C
There's a dream I have where I sail away
Looking back I wave at you
D
And I wave goodbye
[Chorus]

As an angel flying high

Behind those eyes I wonder

It's kinda tricky to find the vocal starting point for this GREAT song. The first guitar chord is a definitely a C but the coinciding vocal note is a G with the G landing on the word "hear".
The first 3 vocal notes are as follows;
E F# G
Well I hear
For this reason, I think the guitar chords should be C/G wherever a straight C chord is shown in this tab.
This song is the only one I can think of that is actually difficult to find the

Stupid record companies shortening songs. Thought I was going crazy. I'm not. Version from the record has it and is obviously longer.
