I suspect it is played in G but tuned down 2 half steps.

I think it is played with a capo on 5, with C, G, and F fingerings relative, with a D before the chorus. Same progression and voicing as "Here Comes A Regular" by The Replacements. I will submit my version in Guitar Pro format.
