The whole song is really easy, just G to Em. Listen to the song to get the
strumming right, also support the artist. crywank.bandcamp.com
[Intro]
G Em
G
I woke up this morning wanting to cry
Em
and when I called her I realized why.
G Em
Although she was honest, she spoke with a cold tongue.
G
I broke down in the courtyard when it came to light
Em
she broke every promise in the space of one night.
G Em
She made me hate this city, immediately.
G
I thought she was something else,
Em
but as it turns out she was just someone else.
G
There were four questions I wanted to ask,
Em
do you love him yet? Do you think it will last?
G
Were you wearing the pants I bought you?
Em G
do you ever think he thought you resembled me in some way?
Em
a boy left to break.
G
We spent two years together,
G
I thought I made her better.
Em Em
All my best friends told me I should forget her,
G Em
but I never could, I thought that I should.
G Em
I need to stop thinking about the things I'll never do again,
G Em
and just be glad I did them, and I'm so glad I did them.
G G
First love does not mean best love,
Em Em
and best friends may not mean best friends forever,
G G Em
but they both mean at some point, somewhere, someone did care
N.C.
and their memories still there.
G
I know she was special,
G
I know she was good,
Em
I know she wasn't flawless but I know I was loved.
G
I know she had passion,
G
I know she was kind,
Em
so why should an ending alter my state of mind.
G
Although I find it hard to relive her,
Em
I know that I would always forgive her.
G Em G
She says no regrets, and I say don't forget.

hi! if anyone is still here wondering, not that many people look here nowadays, the strumming pattern is as simple as up down repeated. i like to play it as D U U U, the way they do in their newest song unassimilated normie, but thats just a personal preference since i can never get it to sound good. also, on the crywank youtube channel, there's a guitar blag where he shows you how to play it. super old now. i think someone else has linked it.

I don’t know why but I feel like playing a G bar chord and alternating between E5 at points and Em sounds pretty similar, but not the same. I’m playing it on an acoustic tuned down to E flat, and have a capo on the first fret so that’s probably why but still. Just thought I’d throw the two scents

what's the tuning of this as its somewhere between standard and half-step down but cant figure it out
