have a pitch pedal I feel like you won't need the notes on the 1st string,
and since you would run off the fretboard unless your guitar has 27 frets

Yeah I'd say he bent the harmonic.
Looks alright to me but my detuned guitar is out of commission so I cant try it. One thing though, the 2nd guitar in the prechorus is just a pinch harmonic.
I considered that, but I think a bend sounds closer. Its not really a full on shriek at least. Probably a little of both.
