the intro to the second verse is the same as the other intro but at one point the finger
picking guitar plays something different

d-2----------------------0----------4-----------------
a-2--2-2-2-2-2---2-2-2---2----------------------------
e-0--------------------3-3-3--------------------------

and there's a really small part thats played differently just before the second chorus

e----------------
b----------------
g---3------------
d------4--5--4---
a----------------

there's one more bit for the outro, it's about 4:33 when the strumming guitar becomes
quiet, it plays this over and over again...

e-------------------------
b---3---3----3----3------
g-----2----2----2----2---
d-------------------------
a-------------------------

then at about 4:52 everything gets really quiet and it plays this until the end...

verse 1

there's still a little bit of your taste, in my mouth
there's still a little bit of you laced, with my doubt
it's still a little hard to say, what's goin' on

there's still a little bit of your ghost, your weakness
there's still a little bit of your face, I haven't kissed
you step a little closer each day
that i can't say what's going on

chorus

stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to lie
life, it taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball

verse 2

there's still a little bit of your song, in my ear
there's still a little bit of your words, I long to hear
you step a little closer to me
so close that I can't see what's going on

chorus

stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to lie
life, it taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannon...

stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to cry
so come on courage!
teach me to be shy
'cause it's not hard to fall
and I don't wanna scare her
it's not hard to fall
and I don't wanna lose
it's not hard to grow
when you know that you just don't know

/ - slide up

Hi guys - I'm a complete newbie at this learning to play guitar for the first time so I'm not sure how to really read tabs correctly. I'd love to learn to play this song does anyone know a good resource for learning to read tabs? Thanks! Wit

Great tab - very true to the original CD version, but unfortunately not great if you're playing it on your own... I'm gonna adapt this a little so that it sounds good with just the one guitar - just needs a couple of bits moving around I think :)
