B7 021202
C 032010
G 320033
G/F# 200003

[Intro]

Em B7 C G G/F# x2

[Verse 1]

Em
 While I powder my nose
B7
 He will powder his gums
        C
And if I try to get close
G G/F#
 He is already gone
Em
 Don't know where he's going
B7
 Don't know where he's been
C
But he is restless at night
G G/F#
 Cause he has horrible dreams

Em
So we lay in the dark
B7
 We've got nothing to say
C
Just the beating of hearts like
G G/F#
two drums in the grey
Em
 I don't know what we're doing
 B7
I don't know what we've done
C
 But the fire is coming
G
So I think we should run

[Bridge]

   G/F# Em B7
I think we should run, run, run, run
  C G G/F#
Run, run, run, run
 Em B7
Run, run, run, run
  C G G/F#
Run, run, run, run

[Verse 2]

Em
While I put on my shoes
B7
 He will button his coat
C
 And we will step outside
G G/F#
 Checking out the coast is
Em
clear on both sides
B7
'Cause we don't want to be seen
            C
No, this is suicide
G G/F#
 You can't see the ropes
Em
And I won't tell my mother
B7
 It's better she don't know
C
And he won't tell his folks
      G G/F#
'Cause they're already ghosts, so
Em
We'll just keep each other as
B7
safe as we can
C
 Until we reach the border
G G/F#
 Until we make our plan

[Bridge]

    Em B7
To run, run, run, run
    C G G/F#
To run, run, run, run
    Em B7
To run, run, run, run

C G

[Verse 3]

G/F# Em B7
Will you stay with me, my love
           C G
For another day?
                Em B7
'Cause I don't want to be alone
                  C G
When I'm in this state
           Em B7
Will you stay with me, my love
               C G
'Till we're old and gray?
         Em B7
'Cause I don't want to be alone
                  C G
When these bones decay

The lyrics are " He will powder his gums " instead of " He will powder his guns" As you've written it. It's a reference on the use of cocaine, in case you were wondering what the hell it means.

Ok I wrote in the chords for the rest of the song :) and you were right about the chord being called B7.

I pluck either the A or E string depending on the chord then strum down (hold) up down up [then repeat the strumming] like ^^^ Em - E B7 - A C - A and then for the G into the G/F# I play G - E down (hold) up down up then pluck E strum once switch to G/F# pluck E strum once and then go into the Em. I think its spices it up haha
