[Intro]
D F

[Verse]
D
How I wish you could see the potential
F
The potential of you and me
D
It's like a book elegantly bound
F
But in a language that you can't read just yet

[Chorus]
D
You gotta spend some time, love
F G
You gotta spend some time with me
D
And I know that you'll find, love
F G
I will possess your heart
(x2)

[Verse 2]
D
There are days when outside your window
F
I see my reflection as I slowly pass
D
And I longed for this mirrored perspective
F
When we'll be lovers, lovers at last

[Chorus 2]
D
You gotta spend some time, love
F G
You gotta spend some time with me
D
And I know that you'll find, love
F G
I will possess your heart
(X2)
F G
I will possess your heart
F D
I will possess your heart

[Bridge]
F G
You reject my advances
F G
And desperate pleas
F G
I won't let you let me down
F G F G
So easily So easily

[Chorus 2]
(x3)

[Bridge]

Sounds good if you stick a C/E after the F in the Verses.

Also D is always Dm and G in chorus sounds like it should be C/E as well.
