and when I see you
I really see you upside down
but my brain knows better
it picks you up and turns you around
turns you around
turns you around

if you feel discouraged
and there's a lack of color here
please don't worry lover
it's really bursting at the seams
from absorbing everything
the spectrum's a to z

this is fact not fiction
for the first time in years
and all the girls in every girlie magazine
can't make me feel any less alone
I'm reaching for the (phone)

now, they start to play chords, starting on "...phone":

    Bb H07 Cm Bb
e |---------(3)----------------------------------|

G |-3-3--1---5--3--------------------------------|
D |-3-3--3---5--3--------------------------------|
A |-1-1--2---3--1--------------------------------|
E#|----------------------------------------------|

(I'm reaching for the) phone
to call at 7:03
and on your machine I slur a plea
for you to come home
but I know it's to late
and I should have given you a reason to stay
given you a reason to stay (x3)

i think DCFC drops the whole guitar 1/2 step down, not just the low E. its easier to play that way, just use the same tabs but up one, so 3 is 4, 4 is 5 etc. also, the second riff is played much easier this way, with the 1st finger on Ab, 4th on Db, 2nd on Gb, 3rd on Bb.
eb|------------------------------------------------------------------
Bb|-----5--5--5--5--5--5--------------------5--5---------------------
Gb|-----------------------4--4--------------------4--4---------------
Db|-----------------------------7--7--7--7---------------------------
Ab|---4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4-----------------
Eb|------------------------------------------------------------------
this creates less of a constant transition.
this is the same as the riff posted above, just with lowered tuning. yall can transcribe the rest to the drop tuning, its pretty easy.

I think you meant to move your high notes on the 3rd fret down a string in the second part of the intro/verse
