The Lyrics to this song is presented below in case you'll need them
[Chorus]
Black night is not right,
I don't feel so bright,
I don't care to sit tight.
Maybe I'll find on the way down the line
that I'm free, free to be me.
Black night is a long way from home.
[Verse]
I don't need a dark tree,
I don't want a rough sea,
I can't feel, I can't see.
Maybe I'll find on the way down the line
that I'm free, free to be me.
Black night is a long way from home.
[Chorus]
Black night, black night,
I don't need black night,
I can't see dark night.
Maybe I'll find on the way down the line
that I'm free, free to be me.
Black night is a long way from home.

Why does everyone leave out that little decent at the beginning of the song? Its 9 on your G string 6 times, 7 on your G string 6 times, 9 on your D string 6 times, 5 on your D string 6 times, then into the intro. Sorry, Just trying to make that point that litterally everyone leaves that out and there is undisputedly bass in there. Other than that 5*.
+1

when I listen to the music I hear something one octave lower at the
5-7-7-7-7-7-7-7
part, but I don't know if it's Jon or Glover. Anyway, I like to play on octave lower in my 5-string bass.
And very good tab!
