I'm not sure of the name of the 3rd chord used,
but it is a C formation that starts on the 3rd fret (instead of the 1st)
I'm using F# G

Capo 3
Damn These Dreams - Dierks Bentley

G C
I remember hearin' Hank on the radio
     F# G C
The first time it felt like fallin' in love
  G C
I bought a cassette, stole some Reds from Dad
     F# G C
And me and ol' Junior just burned it up

      G C
I was hooked like a fish every birthday wish
 F# G C
Was guitars and records
    G C
Now honey I know you miss me I feel it when you kiss me
   F# G C C
Trust me when I say every goodbye hurts

Chorus:
      G
Well, damn these dreams
                             C
Playin' my heart just like a guitar string
   F# G C
Pull me away from you and everything I really need
      G
Well, damn these dreams
                              C
Chasin' that same old whiskey melody
   F# G C
All up and down these Nashville streets
                        G C
It's hard to look true love in the eye and leave
      G C
Well, damn these dreams

G C
Well, I remember hearin' my song on the radio
     F# G C
The first time it felt like some kinda drug
G C
Out there on the road playing show after show
     F# G C
Me and the boys just burnin' it up

G C
It was all fun and games 'til the little ones came
   F# G C
'Cause it makes my heart bleed
G C
When I gotta drive away and listen to 'em say
     F# G C C
Hey daddy, why you gotta go, please don't leave

Chorus:
      G
Well, damn these dreams
                             C
Playin' my heart just like a guitar string
   F# G C
Pull me away from you and everything I really need
      G
Well, damn these dreams
                              C
Chasin' that same old whiskey melody
   F# G C
All up and down these Nashville streets
                        G C
It's hard to look true love in the eye and leave
      G C
Well, damn these dreams

       G C
Well, it's in my heart and it's in my soul
          F# G C
And just like you, I never can let go
G C
These wheels just gotta roll
Outro (slowing down)
 F# G C G

This song sounds best played with the capo on the 1st fret (hit transpose+ twice) so the chords would be A D and E7sus4.
E7sus4 is played like this:

e|----0----|
B|----5----|
G|----4----|
D|----0----|
A|----0----|
E|----x----|

What you do is slide up to that chord from the D chord
However Its pretty apparent on the album this song is recorded in an open tuning.
