G# F#
Son, what have you done?
                     C#
You're caught by the river
               G# G#sus4
You're coming undone
G# F#

But you can't just leave it
		   G# G#sus4 G#
Cause you're not in control____no______more

Chorus:
                      G#
And you give it all away
                       F#
Would you give it all away now?
                   C#
Don't let it come apart
                            G#	(G#sus4 G#)
Don't want to see you come apart

Verse:

Son, what are you doing?
You learned a hard lesson
When you stood by the water

You and I were so full of love and hope
Would you give it all up now?
Would you give in just to spite them all?

Chorus:

And you give it all away
Would you give it all away now?
Don't let it come apart
Don't want to see you come apart

Cause you give it all away
And you give it all away now
Don't let it come apart
Don't want to see you come apart

So many people
So many people pass

Stay, stay here and lie on back
Get down in the cornfields
Stay till were caught at last

Chorus

Give it all away
Give it all away now
Don't let it come apart
Don't want to see you come apart

And you give it all away
You give it all away now
Don't let it come apart
Don't want to see you come apart

C# is not an easy chord for me to play. I suggest tuning all strings down half a step and using the chords A G D. Much easier and I think it sounds more like how the Doves play it.

Great tab! screw hunting down the capo. if C# is hard for you to play like its transcribed here, just slide down and bar it ont he 9th fret.

this is a great tab, but I like to play full chords with the bass notes on the low E string. Also, the F# isn't just F#, listen close and you'll hear F#Maj7 - with capo on 1 this is easy to play with the high E string open and it adds a lot of color to the song!
