From: Steve Vetter

Honeysuckle Blue - Drivin' n' Cryin'
from Mystery Road
tabbed by Steve Vetter [vetters@vax1.elon.edu]

The main riff is something like this:

  A G D A
-5--5---------------3--3---------------5--5-----------5--5---
-5--5---------------3--3---------------7--7-----------5--5---
-6--6--7-5----------4--4--5-3----------7--7--7-p-5----6--6---
-7--7------7-5-7-5--5--5------5-3-5-3--7--7--------7--7--7---
-7--7---------------5--5-------------- 5--5-----------7--7---
-5--5---------------3--3------------------------------5--5---

A G D A

A
Feel the southern breezes
        G
and the southern wind
D
Blowing down around this
A
dying land (from the booklet, the song is something different)

A
D'Agostino's late last night I saw
  G
A boy fifteen on the road
     D
With nothing in the pocket
    A
his head to sky nowhere else to go

Can you see it
or believe it
To send the corner man
He's never been
Come with me
I'll show you where the
Dogwoods bloom it's true
lost and found and lost again
to the Honeysuckle blue

Running through these caverns of gold
Runs a river of death indeed
an old hotel serves as a shelter
for the children of the street

abandoned by the promised land
set sail on your own
how much longer will the well
be dry for those who roam

I got a ticket
in my pocket
to send the corner man
He's never been

Have you ever seen the
Blue Ridge mountains boy
or the Chatahootchee
or the honeysuckle blue

Call me to the promised land
Stand outside to understand
Far too close to see things through
Once on edge and once removed

Call me to the promised land and roll me down the road
Run down and leave me lying on the road alone
If you got time I'll take you through the times of love and war
Stand by my side and let it all run out to roar?
Well I got a dream and I got a love by it's standing far too low
And I got something to know again and its all bound by law
Well I'm bound by law you running for and holding me all alone
lost and found and lost again to the Honeysuckle blue

the intro lick is wrong. the intro does use the A G D chord structure, and the first 2 verses use A E G D. The last section that starts with "take me to the promised land" goes back the intro/chorus structure of A G D. i have the solo tab, dont know how to post it here...
