Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
I've tried to find tabs and chords for this song for a long time so I finaly
decided to just listen to the song and pick out the right chords, which was way
easier than I thought.

This song is in standard tuning and no capo. I hope this helps!

[Intro] B, E, B, E

[Verse 1]
       B E
The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
B F# E
Stop me and steal my breath
       B E
And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky
B F# E
Never revealing their depth

[Bridge]
     B F# E F#
And tell me that we belong together
B F# E F#
Dress it up with the trappings of love
     B F# E F#
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
B F# E
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

[Chorus]
     B E
And I'll be your cryin' shoulder
B F# E
I'll be love suicide
     B E
And I'll be better when I'm older
B F# E B F# E
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

[Verse 2]
     B (mute) E
And rain falls angry on the tin roof
   B F# E
As we lie awake in my bed
     B E
And you're my survival, you're my living proof
  B F# E
My love is alive, and not dead

[Bridge]
    B F# E F#
And tell me that we belong together
B F# E F#
Dress it up with the trappings of love.
     B F# E F#
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
B F# E
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

[Chorus]
     B E
And I'll be your cryin' shoulder
B F# E
I'll be love suicide
     B E
And I'll be better when I'm older
B F# E B
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

       G#m F# E
And I dropped out, I burned up, I fought my way back from the dead,
   G#m F# E F#
I tuned in, I turned on, remembered the thing that you said.

[Chorus]
     B E
And I'll be your cryin' shoulder
B F# E
I'll be love suicide
     B E
And I'll be better when I'm older

The tabs are completely correct, just make sure you (the player)are playing the right variations. McCain plays his B and E chords at the 7th fret and in the verses, then plays the F# on the 6th fret and the E on the 4th fret in the chorus. Just wanted to point that out if you wanted to play the way McCain plays it!
