Ive suggested this revised correction to this song by watching EC actually play it . It seems to play a lot better and jazzier. There is a chord that I play instead of the D#dim but I cant find the chord diagram to actually draw it.

It is -
D string 4th fret
G string 5th fret
B string 5th fret
Bottom E open

Right, with the bass playing the note of A, that's an Am6, Id say:x-A-F#-C-e-e
If there's a "d" in the bass that would make it a D9.

Yeah your right. It's a D9 but not really playing the full chord. Just the strings I've mentioned.
