"Island In The Sun"

[intro]
Am, Dm, G, C

Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

(Am, Dm, G, C)
When you’re on a holiday
You can’t find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I wanna feel it too

(Am, Dm, G, C)
On an island in the sun
We’ll be playin' and havin' fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can’t control my brain

Hip hip
Hip hip

(Am, Dm, G, C)
When you’re on a golden sea
You don’t need no memory
Just a place to call your own
As we drift into the zone

(Am, Dm, G, C)
On an island in the sun
We’ll be playin' and havin' fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can’t control my brain

(G, C)
We’ll run away together
(G,C)
We’ll spend some time forever

(F,G)
We’ll never feel bad anymore

Try Em/Am/D/G for the main riff of the song and D/G for We'll run..and We'll spend.. then C/A/D for We'll never feel...

Yeah, no. It's Em, Am, D, G. It just is. Follow the bass line. For the main riff play Em in the same way you play an open Dm but up two frets. Then Am as if you were playing the bar chord on the fifth fret. Then open D. Then G as if you were playing the bar chord on the third fret. This version would be correct if he said capo on the fifth fret, but as is, you are playing the fourth of each correct chord.

actually, i capo'd on the 7th fret and didn't strum the high E string using these chords and it sounds pretty accurate.
