This is great, thanks, very useful.

I would add a B or B7 chord just before the verses, where you have the D.
Keep the D, but add the B:

D B Em Am D G
Fo-or every Casanova that appears, my sense of hesitation disappears.

So the sung notes for the word "fo-or" are D, rising to D#, and then rising again, resolving to the E for the verse.
