[Verse 1]
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7
Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7
Well who am I to keep you down
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7 G
It's only right that you should play the way you feel it
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7 G
But listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness
[Pre-Chorus]
Fmaj7 G
Like a heartbeat drives you mad
Fmaj7 G
In the stillness of remembering
Fmaj7 G
What you had
Fmaj7 G
and what you lost
Fmaj7 G
What you had
Fmaj7 G
and what you lost
[Chorus]
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7
Thunder only happens when it's raining
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7
Players only love you when they're playing
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7
Women, they will come and they will go
Fmaj7 G Fmaj7
When the rain washes you clean you'll know

When you're playing the chord line Am G F, I like to play a G after the F and it sounds more complete.

I have always played the F as a Fmaj7.... it sounds so much better

I like it transposed to Em...D...C. my voice likes it too!
