[Verse]
(accapella)
Well I didn't tell anyone but a bird flew by
saw what i'd done he set up a nest outside
and he sang about what i'd become

   F C
He sang so loud, sang so clear
E Am
I was afraid all the neighbours would hear
     F C
so i invited him in just to reason with him
  E Am
i promised I wouldn't do it again

            F
But he sang louder and louder inside the house
    C
and now i couldn't get him out
     E
so I trapped him under a cardboard box
    Am
and stood on him to make it stop
  F
I picked up the bird and above the din i said
C(stop short)
that's the last song you'll ever sing
F
held him down broke his neck
C
taught him a lesson he wouldnt forget

  E Am

    F C
But in my dreams began to creep
     E Am
that old familiar tweet, tweet, tweet

[Chorus]
  E
I opened my mouth to scream and shout
  Am
I waved my arms and I flapped about
      E
but I couldn't scream and I couldn't shout
Am
couldn't scream and couldn't shout
  F
I opened my mouth to scream and shout
  Am
I waved my arms and I flapped about
      E
but I couldn't scream and I couldn't shout
    Am F C
the song was coming from my mouth
        E Am
from my mouth
        F C
*from my mouth
        E Am
from my mouth*

*Repeat 4 more times with same chords-you can put variations if you wish, like
plucking instead of straight chords

(Am--->)F   C
from my mouth
        E Am
from my mouth
        F C
from my mouth
        E F C E Am F C E Am
from my mouth (held on)-------------------------------------------->

F to finish

hope you like it :)

I think you dragged out the chords for the bridge twice as far as they actually are, I play it something like this:

F C E Am
But in my dreams began to creep
F C E Am
that old familiar tweet, tweet, tweet

Also, I find it sounds best if you play the faster parts with these barr chords, as you can play a nice staccato rhythm:

F C E Am

E|-8---8---7---5--|
B|-10--8---9---5--|
G|-10--9---9---6--|
D|-10--10--9---7--|
A|-8---10--7---7--|
E|-x---8---x---5--|

Good tab otherwise though, cheers!
