foo fighters - come back
tabbed by tom kelly(tuhu27@hotmail.com
i'm pretty pleased with this tab. see how you go with it.

key/legend:
~ - hold note/vibrato
s - slide up or down
^ - hammer on/pull off
b - bend
*--/
--/- means repeat last bar
-/-- i used it for the acoustic bit
/--*
intro/verse
e|---------------------------------------------------
B|---------------------------------------------------
G|---------------------------------------------------
D|-------------------------------------4s6-----------
A|-11-11-11-11-11--9--9--9--9-9-9-9-9------7^6-------
E|--9--9--9--0--0--0--0--0--7-7-7-0-0----------7-(6)-
                                                  |
                                unsure about this note

prechorus:
e|------ --------------------------
B|------ -------------------------- 2nd guitar plays the
G|------ -------------------------- A string part, 1st
D|--7--- -------------------------- plays just A chord
A|--7--- ----7~---6~---4~---2~-----
E|--5--- --------------------------

bridge:
1st guitar
e|----------------------------------------------------------
B|----------------------------------------------------------
G|--13--11s10--8s6--8----6-----13--11s9--------------6---8--
D|--------------------6-----------------11s9--11s14--6-6-8--
A|--11---9s8---6s4--6----4-----11---9s7--------------4-6-6--
E|--------------------4------------------9s7---9s12----4----

i think the 3 chords at the end are a second guitar. but if you are
on your own like me, play the last octave note at the 7th fret of the A
string, rather than at the 12th of the E string, it makes the jump a lot
smaller.
bridge: the other way to play it
e|----------------------------------------------------------
B|----------------------------------------------------------
G|--13--11s10--8s6--8----6-----13--11s9--6s4--6s9--6---8----
D|--------------------6----------------------------6-6-8----
A|--11---9s8---6s4--6----4-----11---9s7--4s2--4s7--4-6-6----
E|--------------------4------------------------------4------

bridge: 2nd guitar
e|-----------------
B|----------------- i'm not too sure about this.
G|--6-----9-------- you'll have to figure the timing
D|--6--6--9--9----- out i dunno how to tab that.
A|--4--6--7--9-----
E|-----4-----7-----

finish on A:
e|----- ----------------------
B|----- ----------------------
G|----- ----------------------
D|--7-- then ----------------------
A|--7-- --7~---6~---4~---2~---
E|--5-- ----------------------

Acoustic bit: this could take a while. i'll do both guitars.
G1 is basically the intro, and it doesn't really stray.
after a while he starts to strum more, but its the same thing the whole time.
G1

D|------------------------|---/----|-----------------------
A|------------------------|--/--*--|-----------------------
E|------------------------|--------|-----------------------

full electrics now
G1 for 8 bars G2 comes in after 4 bars with:
e|--------------- ------------------------
B|--------------- ---9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9--
G|--6--4--------- ------------------------ for 4 bars
D|--6--4--7--4--- ---6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6--
A|--4--2--7--4--- ------------------------
E|--------5--2--- ------------------------

then is goes like this. i'm not certain here, but it sounds close.
its just hte chorus riff whit extra guitar 2.
G1
e|--------------------------------------------------------------------
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------
G|--6-6-6-6-----------------------------------------------------------
D|--6-6-6-6--7-7-7--4-4-4-4--6-6-6--2-2-2-2--4-4-4--7-7-7-7--9-9-9----

ending riff:

Just a small note- In the intro, instead of sliding 4 to 6 on D, you can slide from the 9 your finger is already on (on the A) to 11 and down to E------------------------- B------------------------- G------------------------- D------------------------- A-9-9-9-9-9-9s11-7h6------ E -7-7-7-0-0-0--------7---- This feels more natural to me.
