Hey Folks,
I didn't find the chords for this great song from Franks brand new album, so I
decided to try it out myself.
I wasn't able to figure out the whole song, so feel free to comment, help, edit or
do it completely new ;)
Cheers from Germany,

*edit: Thanks for your comments, I added the missing parts*

I'm playing the Intro/Verse 1/Pre-Chorus/Verse 2 p.m.

[Intro/Chorus]

             Bm G
Just give me one fine day of plain sailing weather
    D
And I can fuck up anything, anything.
         Bm G
It was a wonderful life when we were together,
    D A
And now I've fucked up every little goddamn thing.

[Verse]

       Bm G D A
Amelie lied to me, this was supposed to be easy.
            Bm G D A
I found the one damn person to help me fall asleep in the night.
                  Bm G D A
But sleeping gets tiring, and dark reminds me of dying,
       Bm G
And as long as this feeble heart is still beating,
         D A
You will find me rushing through every room, switching on all the lights.

[Pre-Chorus]

    F# Bm
The problem with falling in love in latenight bars
                 G
Is that there's always more nights, there's always more bars.
    F# Bm
The problem with showing your lover your scars
        G
Is that everybody's lover is covered in scars.

[Chorus]

             Bm G
Just give me one fine day of plain sailing weather
    D
And I can fuck up anything, anything.
         Bm G
It was a wonderful life when we were together,
    D
And now I've fucked up every

[Verse]
           Bm G D A
Things got fractious, and I felt faithless,
        Bm G D A
At that moment just before the dawn when everything falls apart.
                  Bm G D A
But baby I didn't mean it, for things to get desperate.
     Bm G
I let slip my guard, let go of the rudder,
          D A
Now we're drifting in the current away from one another.

[Chorus]

             Bm G
Just give me one fine day of plain sailing weather
    D
And I can fuck up anything, anything.
         Bm G
It was a wonderful life when we were together,
    D
And now I've fucked up every thing.
        Bm G
Give me one fine day of plain sailing weather
    D
And I can fuck up anything, anything.
         Bm G
It was a wonderful life when we were together,
    D A
And now I've fucked up every little goddamn thing.

[Bridge]
                     G
every little goddamn thing
                     A
every little goddamn thing
                     G Bm (let ring)
every little goddamn thing
                             D
I've been skirting round the rim of doing something
G F#m Bm
Brave, and not just standing, but jumping in,
                       D
Of making circles into squares, of laying down
    G F#m Bm
The bare facts like a burden I can't bear.
                          D
And I can almost find the words, but I can see the way you'd
G F#m G F#m
Fold your hands, speak my name like a curse upon your pretty lips,
    G F#m
the pressured white behind your fingertips.

D Bm A Gm D

[Outro]
             Bm A
And when you see me for all that I am
                    Gm D
I couldn't make mistakes to make a difference any more.
                 Bm A
I'd throw myself down on my knees, at your hands,
                   Gm D
And beg you for forgiveness for my fuckups and my faults.
                Bm A
And maybe you'd relent, release my hope for our forever,
                      Gm D Bm
Lift up your precious hands, and then bring yours and mine together,
                A Gm D Bm
So just give me one fine day of plain sailing weather.
             A Gm
Just give me one fine day of plain sailing weather.

isobel.turner2 is almost right about the outro, it's G minor instead of G major. An in the part before I would play Gmaj7 instead of G. The whole song is easier if you transpose it down two half-tones and use a capo on the 2nd fret...

Not sure up to 'fingertips' but I'm pretty sure the outro is just D, Bm, A, G repeated :) cheers for the tab

If anybody is wondering about the riff that comes in during "But baby I didn't mean it!", I think it goes something like this: [tab] e| |-----------------------------------------------| B| |-----------------------------------------------| G| |-----------------------------------------------| D| |--4--4-4--4--5-5--5-5-5--0--0-0--0-0-0--0-0-0--| X2 A| |-----------------------------------------------| E| |-----------------------------------------------| [/tab]
