Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
Verse: Listen to a youtube video to learn the pattern.
Also, try to keep the top B and E string open when strumming,
sounds better :)

For the Chorus:

Aadd9 077600
F#m x44200
Bmadd11 099700
E7 020100 or 076700
D xx0230
E 022100

     A
I was sipping on a Whiskey when I got the call
    F#m
Yeah my friend Lex was lying in the hospital
       Bm
She'd been pretty sick for about half a year
         E
But it seems liked this time the end was drawing near

      A
So dropped my plans and jumped the next London train
   F#m
I found her laid up and in a lot of pain
     Bm
Her eyes met mine and then I understood
            E E7
That the weather forecast wasn't looking too good
      A
So I sat and spun her stories for a little while
  F#m
Tried to raise her mood and tried to raise a smile
           Bm Bm
But she silenced all my rambling with a shake of her head
          E E7
Drew me close and listen this is what she said now

Aadd9 F#m Bmadd11
"You'll live to dance another day,
                             E7
it's just now you'll have to dance, for the two of us,
Aadd9 F#m Bmadd11
so stop looking so damn depressed
                       D
and sing with all your heart
           E
that the Queen is dead"

          A
Yeah she told me she was sick of all the hospital food
        F#m
And of doctors, distant relatives, draining her blood
     Bm
She said "I know I'm dying, but I'm not finished just yet,
       E E7
I am dying for a drink and for a cigarette"
        A
So we hatched a plan to book ourselves a cheap hotel
        F#m
In the centre of the City and to raise some Hell
       Bm Bm E
Lay waste to all the clubs and then when everyone else is long asleep
    E7
We know we're good and done

Aadd9 F#m Bmadd11
"You'll live to dance another day,
                             E7
it's just now you'll have to dance, for the two of us,
Aadd9 F#m Bmadd11
so stop looking so damn depressed
                       D
and sing with all your heart
           E D F#m E
that the Queen is dead__________

                  D F#m E
And South London's not the same anymore
                   D F#m E
   The Queen is dead,
            D F#m E
and the last of the great has finally gone to bed

             A
Well I was working on some words when Sarah called me up
              F#m
She said that Lex had gone asleep and wasn't waking up
    Bm
And even though I knew that there was nothing to be done
        E E7
I felt bad for not being there and now, well, she was gone
      A
So I tried to think what Lex would want me to do
    F#m
At times like this when I was feeling blue
       Bm
So I gathered up some friends to spread the sad sad news
                      E E7
And we headed to the City for a drink or two

And we sang

Aadd9 F#m Bmadd11
"We live to dance another day,
                             E7
it's just now we have to dance, for one more of us,
Aadd9 F#m Bmadd11
so stop looking so damn depressed
                       D
and sing with all our hearts
 E D
long live the Queen"

This is the correct way to play it. This is how I said it should be played in the comments of the other version so thanks for putting it up!

Brilliant - although i think it also sounds fine if you play 577600 for the Aadd9 in the chorus instead of leaving the bottom E open. But yea great Tab.

absintheparty I feel your pain - It has done that to me with several tabs like Mayday parade chords!

The b during the chorus should be should be a B minor on the second fret of the A string with an open E on the 6th string.

Bmadd11 099700 = doesn't sound correct, too open
should be 024420

E7 sounds better as 076700

This section sounds a bit off to me

E D F#m E

that the Queen is dead__________

D F#m E

And South London's not the same anymore

D F#m E

The Queen is dead,

D F#m E

and the last of the great has finally gone to bed
