Hi! Some of this may be inaccurate considering I'm self taught, but a friend asked me to tab this
for them so hear I am. I'm only 16, go easy on me!
The (000130) is a chord that I don't know the name of but I believe it sounds correct. I'm sure it is a
variation of a D but I don't know what it is called.
I love this song, I hope you enjoy playing it for yourself, but sing it for your mother as well!
NO CAPO
[Verse]
D
A little baby told God,
A Bm
Hey I'm kinda scared, don't really know if
F#m G
I wanna go down there,
D
Because from here it looks like a little blue ball
(000130) A A7 D
But that's a great big place and I'm so small
D A
Why can't I just stay here with you?
Bm F#m G
Did I make you mad, don't you want me, too?'
D
And God said, 'Oh child, of course I do,
(000130) A D
But there's somebody special that's waiting for you.
[Chorus]

D G D Em
Is making sure you're always gonna be alright

It's almost time to go and meet your mom
[Bridge]
Bm
Now when she's talking to you

Make sure you listen close
Em A D
Cuz she's gonna teach you everything you'll ever need to know
Bm
Like how to mind your manners
G
To love and laugh and dream
Em
And she'll put you on the path
A A7
That will bring you back to me
[Chorus]
D A
So hush now baby, don't you cry
G D A

Your 000310 should be an Em.
D (thumb 2nd Fret on low E)
Because from here it looks like a little blue ball
Em (open D sting) A D
But that's a great big place and I'm so small
Then on the chorus:
D D#/F G
So hush now baby, don't you cry
A D A
Cuz there's someone out there waiting, whose only goal in life
Where D#/F is 2x0232 (though you don't have to muffle the A for it to sound right).

Any chance that I can get you to post the tab? I love this song and it has become my unborn baby girls song that I sing every night to her, but I want to learn to play it on the guitar. I am partially deaf, so I am not able to make out what strings he is playing during the song. I know the chords, but I really just want to learn how to play it. It would mean a lot to me.

sorry pal. There are a bunch of chord errors in it. Give it another close listen. There are a few inverted D/F# chords in the verses and choruses. practice makes perfect bud! keep practicing and thx for your contribution
