Title: Hold Me Down (4:50)
Written by: Doug Hopkins
Primary Contributor: stryder1017
Secondary Contributor: Michael David Parent

Note: Piece of advice. If you are playing an acoustic, the Second Guitar sounds
great, but if you're using an electric go with the Primary.

Second Guitar: Verse rythmn guitar part:

B5 C#5 D A E
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
----------------------1--1-1-----------
-4---4-6-7---7--7-----2--2-2-----------
-2---2-4-5---7--7-----2--2-2------0----
-------------5--5-4-2-0--0-0--0-2------

B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
--------------------7--7---------------
-4---4-6-7---7--7---7--7--7--7---------
-2---2-4-5---7--7---5--5--7--7---------
-------------5--5---------5--5---------

Verse 1:
             B5 C#5 D
So I guess I must have just been dreaming
                 A5 E
When I thought I heard myself say no
          B5 C#5 D A5 D5 A5
Anyway it looks like no one heard me so here I go

Verse 2:
                         B5 C#5 D5
Cause when you're in the company of strangers
            A5 E
Or just the strangers you call friends
B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
You know before you start just how it's going to end

Chorus 1:
            B5 C#5 D5
So remember When the doors swing open
            A5 E
and all the drinks are passed around
            B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
Anytime the pickins look too easy - hold me down

Verse 3:
                 B5 C#5 D5
I can't remember why I like this feeling
             A5 E
When it only seems to let me down
                B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
Soon I find I'm searching for the exit from the ground

Verse 4:
               B5 C#5 D5
If I think the room is turning faster
                 A5 E
Then I think the music is too loud
                   B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
By then I've lived another broken story to let me down

Chorus 2:
            B5 C#5 D5
So remember When those doors swing open
            A5 E
and all the drinks are passed around
                    B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
When half the party moves into the bathroom - hold me down

Chorus 3:
                    B5 C#5 D5
Or if you're at the tail end of the evening
        A5 E
And Dr. Feelgood comes around
            B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
Anytime the pickins look too easy - hold me down

Bridge:

Down if I want that part

-----------------------------------------------------------2--
--------------------------------------------------------------

Down if I've gone too far

(Haven't figured out this Fill/Solo) It does end on E and you hold it for 4 seconds.

Play this once:

B5 - C#5 - D5 - A5 - E
B5 - C#5 - D5 - A5 - D5 - A5

Verse 5:
               B5 C#5 D5
Well I guess I must have just been reeling
            A5 E
When I felt myself begin to fall
              B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
I realize I'm bounding down the hallways and off the walls

Verse 6:
              B5 C5# D5
If my bed was standing in the corner
             A5 E
I could just fall into it right now
                     B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
And know that I'd be staring at the ceiling going round

Chorus 4:
            B5 C#5 D5
So remember When those doors swing open
            A5 E
and all the drinks are passed around
                    B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
When half the party moves into the bathroom - hold me down

Chorus 5:
                    B5 C#5 D5
Or if you're at the tail end of the evening
        A5 E
And Dr. Feelgood comes around
            B5 C#5 D5 A5 D5 A5
Anytime the pickins look too easy - hold me down

Bridge 2:

   Dsus2, A, Asus4, Dsus2, A, Asus4, E

--0-------0---0-------0---0-------0---0------0----------------
--3-----3---3-2-----2---3-3-----3---3-2-----2--3------1-------
--2---2-------2---2-------2---2-------2---2---------2---------
--0-0---------2-2---------0-0---------2-2---------2-----------
--------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------

Down if I want that part

    Dsus2, A, Asus4, Dsus2, A, Asus4, E

--0-------0---0-------0---0-------0---0------0----------------
--3-----3---3-2-----2---3-3-----3---3-2-----2--3--------------
--2---2-------2---2-------2---2-------2---2----------------1--
--0-0---------2-2---------0-0---------2-2------------------2--
-----------------------------------------------------------2--
--------------------------------------------------------------

Down if I've gone too far - Tell me that it'll never be that way.

The conclusion is a little too complicated for me, and the Fill Stryder used was
inadequate so I didn't bother. If you come up with improvements feel free to
submit a corrected version. I can be reached at sbauzys@comcast.net
