Took me a while,, but if you search for a recent acoustic version SHane Howard Solid Rock you get a closer look at how he does it acoustically and its really quite neat.. he doesn't play the full Am pattern up the neck ,, just two middle fingers. Keep in mind he has another guitarist or two filling it out on stage (and no doubt the studio). His Maton guitar (and voice) are magnificent.

Not sure tiff is right . I play am, am with open b string, am shape 3rd fret, a shape 5th fret

Just needs to add an Asus4 to the main riff along with the Am and Asus2
