This should have all the correct chords to the song with the main intro riff.

I didn't tab the lead part that comes in halfway through the song.

I play the chords as simple power chords, which gives more of a low-fi sound than
open or full bar chords.

Tuning: Standard

Main Riff/Intro:
e---------------------------|
B---------------------------|
G---------------------------|
D---------------------------|
A--0-0-2-0--0-5--0-4--0-2-0-|
E-0--------0----0----0------|

Verse 1:
E D C#
i am a scientist - i seek to understand me
E D C#
all of my impurities and evils yet unknown
E D C#
i am a journalist - i write to you to show you
E D C# E
i am an incurable and nothing else behaves like me

Chorus:
A
and i know what's right
G
but i'm losing sight of the clues
E D
for which i search and choose to abuse
E B
to just unlock my mind
E
yeah, and just unlock my mind

Verse 2:
i am a pharmacist
prescriptions i will fill you
potions, pills and medicines
to ease your painful lives
i am a lost soul
i shoot myself with rock & roll
the hole i dig is bottomless
but nothing else can set me free

Chorus 2:
and i know what's right
but i'm losing sight of the clues
for which i search and choose to abuse
to just unlock my mind
yeah, and just unlock my mind

Play the Intro Riff:
i am a scientist - i seek to understand me
i am an incurable and nothing else behaves like me

Outro:
E D
everything is right
E D
everything works out right
E D
everything fades from sight
E D
because that's alright with me

End with a offbeat version of the Intro Riff

this is incorrect. first off, there is a open A note that is missing from the intro riff (not just once, but a few times) and the verse chords are not E, D, C#. the correct chords for the verse are A, D, D/C#.
for those of you who don't know what a chord with--> / means,
it is when you play the actual chord on the left side of the slash and add the bass note (lowest note) that is listed on the right side of the slash. also, in the chorus you do NOT play a 'B' chord. the correct chord is B minor. completely different chord! plus the E riff that connects the verse and the chorus is missing. i will post a CORRECT version of this song soon.
