Song: Misery (live, acoustic)
Album: Underneath (Underneath Acoustic, more technically, I suppose)
Artist: Hanson
Submitted by: madeline smith: resplendent_euphoria@yahoo.com

Okay! For some strange reason, when Hanson does this song live, it's in C.
On "Underneath," however, it's in Bb. What? Well, it's easier to play in C,
but you can drop it to Bb, no problem, if you so desire.

Chords used:
C: 032010 (though I think Hanson tends to do it 332010--whatever)
C7: 032000
Am: 002210
Em: 022000
G: 320033 (or 320003, as I think Hanson usually plays it)

C C7
This time, I won't take it back
Am C7
   something's coming to you
C C7
This time, I'm gonna breathe a breath
                    Am C7
walking on down the road

Em Am
I can never promise that you'll never be lonely
       Em Am G
but as long as we're together it can always only be

     C C7 Am C7
Misery (lo doe doe doe doe)

C C7
Last night I got off the fence
Am C7
'cause I won't be the fool
C C7
This side of the grass is greener than
                          Am
the garden that I used to grow
                    C7
Walkin' on down the road

Em Am
I can never promise that you'll never be lonely
       Em Am G
but as long as we're together it can always only be

     C C7 Am C7
Misery (lo doe doe doe doe)
     C C7 Am C7
Misery, misery

Em Am
I can never promise that you'll never be lonely
       Em Am G
but as long as we're together it can always only be

     C C7 Am C7
Misery (lo doe doe doe doe)
     C C7 Am C7
Misery, misery

C C7
This time, I won't take you back
Am C7
'cause I won't be the fool

If you WANT to play it in Bb, here are the chords:

Bb: X13331
Bb7: X13131
Gm: 355333
Dm: X00231
F: 133211
----yeah, I think. Like I said, C is easier.

rather than C7 i would say its CMajor7 X32000 :) I LOVE PLAYING THIS i usually play in Bb along with cd though.. its easier aswell and sounds better to play a barred Bb chord and just drop the bas notes too A G A etc etc you get what i mean

instead of the Dsus being played as XXX233, its should be played as
2XXX33, and the Emsus should be X2XX33. Sounds much more authentic
