Breathe by He Is We. Such an awesome song. Please post any corrections :)
Standard tuning, no capo. I don't think that C in the first prechorus is right
but I can't get anything else to sound OK :P
D A G A
D
Harness your heart, and be still now
A
Quiet that mind that will wander
G A
All sorts of dark alleys

Tragedy strikes your self esteem
A
Constantly waiting for an ending
G A
To all of this
C
She opens her eyes
A
Suddenly she cries
G
Can we help her, can we help her?
G
And she replies:
D A
You know, I fake it oh so well
Em
That God himself can’t tell
G D
What I mean and why my words are less than parallel
A
With my feet
Em
You ask me what I need
G
And all I really need
D
Is to breathe
A
Oooohh
G A
Ahhaah
D
People, they seem so interested
A
Only a few get invested
G A
With all the aches and pains

Doctor oh doctor, please help her
A
I fear she may not be breathing
G
Blue lips, and doe eyes
A
That’s her disguise.
D A
You know, I fake it oh so well
Em
That God himself can’t tell
G D
What I mean and why my words are less than parallel

I think a Bm or Em sounds good for the first prechorus.

I agree with what you said about the C chord not sounding right. I tested out some other chords and found that Bm sounds better :] (it also sounds nice instead of the 2nd to last D chord in the song).
