I'm a few years too late on this but it's taken me that long to get good enough at playing guitar to know what's right and wrong. Michal23 (above) almost got it.
I'm only providing the root notes because I keep my G, B, and e strings (high) in an open tuning, which actually sounds pretty awesome with this song but that's a different point entirely. So here, if anyone's still looking for the right way to play it:
