Not sure exactly what your comment is meant to imply, gertsy, but that's exactly what I hear. What do you hear? According to what I can find out, this District Line underground station had it's name changed to Fulham Broadway in 1952 when Ian Dury was around 10 years old. When I heard this single when it was first released in 1978, I thought he said Fulham railway station, but that station (Chelsea and Fulham station) was closed down before Ian was even born.
Now the underground ticket offices are all going the way of history too.
