Chords for "Incubus - Dig"
This Tab is almost exactly the same as the other one for chords, minus one tiny detail,
"E" chord in the verse parts of the song is actually a "D#sus4" chord.... well at least
sounds better to me played that way.
D#sus4 = x6689x
Verse:
D#sus4
We all have a weakness
F# C#m D#sus4 F# C#m
But some of ours are easier to identify. Look me in the e--ye
D#sus4
and ask for forgiveness;
F# C#m D#sus4
we'll make a pact to never speak that word again.
F# C#m
Yes, you are my fri---end.
D#sus4 F#
We all have something that digs us,
C#m D#sus4 F# C#m
at least we dig each other.
D#sus4 F#
So when weakness turns my ego up
C#m D#sus4 F# C#m
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday.
Chorus
E B
If I turn into anothe---er
F# C#m E B
dig me up from under what is coveri--ing
F# C#m
the better part of me.
E B
Sing this so----ong
F# C#m E B
remind me that we'll always have each othe---er
F# C#m
when everything else is gone.
Verse:
D#sus4
We all have a sickness
F# C#m D#sus4
that cleverly attaches and multiplies
F# C#m
No matter how we try---y.
D#sus4 F#
We all have someone that digs at us,
C#m D#sus4 F# C#m
at least we dig each other.
D#sus4 F#
So when sickness turns my ego up
C#m D#sus4 F# C#m
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.
Chorus
E B
If I turn into anothe---er
F# C#m E B
dig me up from under what is coveri--ing
F# C#m
the better part of me.
E B
Sing this so----ong
F# C#m E B
remind me that we'll always have each othe---er
F# C#m
when everything else is gone.

does everyone in the world forget this song has a bridge? both chord tabs for this song are completely missing it

First of all, that's the worst voicing for a D#sus4 chord I've ever seen (you have two fourth intervals in it, which sounds clustered as hell). Second of all, this song DOES have a bridge. And finally, no, D#sus4 does NOT work within the context of this song. This song is in the key of E Major. So YES, it is an E major chord (or an E major 7th chord, if you're playing the arpeggiated electric guitar part), and NO, D#sus4 does NOT sound better. Do you hear a subtonic in this song at all? Do you hear a leading tone? So why the hell would a D#sus4 work in a song in the key of E Major? Do your homework. Don't waste our time. Not all of us are stupid.
