Phil Everly and Jackson Browne did background vocals on this song for J. D. Glenn Frey, Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, and Don Felder on guitars. I love this song and J. D.'s voice was at it's peak. I feel like I'm flying without a net when he soars on the high parts. Has a fascinating quality that is as effective as Neil Young's wonderful plaintiff voice is for him. Wow! You can make no mistakes if you try to cover this song,no matter what key you transpose it to. Your voice has to carry the song, and it will show any of your "warts" or quivers, etc. like a microphone amplifies mistakes as well as on-target notes. I'm not particularly fond of the Fsus2 chord that others are using, so this version gets my vote. With all the guitars on this song, they're very likely playing chord "cousins", along with the F chord in places, and probably capo-ed up and played in different progressions to give the overall effect. ' Sure is a "wall of sound" going down on this recording.

E7 instead of E sounds better and is easier to play
