[Intro]

Dm F A# F
Dm F A# F

[Verse]

Dm F
I know she said it's alright
A# F
But you can make it up next time
Dm F
I know she said knows it's not right
A# F
There ain't no use in Lying
Dm F
Maybe she thinks I know something
       A# F
Maybe maybe she thinks it's fine
Dm F
Maybe she knows something I don't I'm so,
A# C
I'm so tired, I'm so tired of trying

[Chorus]

F C
It seems to me that maybe
Dm Ab
It pretty much always means no
A# C F C
So don't tell me you might just let it go
F C
And often times we're lazy
Dm Ab
It seems to stand in my way
A# C F C
Cause no one no not no one wants to be let down

[Verse] (Guitar quiet)

Dm F
I know she loves the sunrise
A# F
no longer sees it with her sleeping eyes
Dm F
And I know that when she said she's gonna try
A# F
Well it might not work because of other ties
Dm
And I wouldn't want to break 'em, nah,
F
I wouldn't want to break em

(Guitar loud again)
A# F
Maybe she'll help me to untie this but
Dm C
Until then well, I'm gonna have to lie to her

[Chorus]

F C
It seems to me that maybe
Dm Ab
It pretty much always means no
A# C F C
So don't tell me you might just let it go
F C
And often times we're lazy
Dm Ab
It seems to stand in my way
A# C F C
Cause no one no not no one wants to be let down

F C
It seems to me that maybe
Dm Ab
It pretty much always means no
A# C F C
So don't tell me you might just let it go
F C
And often times we're lazy
Dm Ab
It seems to stand in my way
A# C F C
Cause no one no not no one wants to be let down

ok, this is mostly a correction, its really simple if you listen to the song while playing it

Intro--Dm/F/A#/F--2x

verse--Dm/F/A#/F--3x, then Dm/F/A#/C

chorus--F/C/Dm/A/A#/C/F/C--2x(listen for the changes)

Verse 2 is played almost the same just softer threw the first half of the verse and the final passage of the verse is played A#/F/Dm/C

then play the chorus twice and your done, if you want to play the quicker passage at the close of the song(Ben Harper solo) play a Dm on up beats till the end
