I think the Fmaj7 works ir you include the “F” in the bass. That walking bass is one of the beautiful parts of this son and you need the low F to sustain that.

Better than the first version (at least with the timing of the chords and words). I would only change all the Fmaj7's to F. Otherwise thanks for the submission.
