I cannot take full credit for this tab. Let me give credit where credit is due. My brother Ryan for introducing me to the guitar, something I didn't want to play but when you hear Pali Gap so much, you can't help but get curious. Next are these two guys who posted youtube videos. I couldn't even play yhe opening bend until I started watching these videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHWtkBi8aBU. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ty5XYs_JvQhttps://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/j/jimi_hendrix/pali_gap_tab.htmhttps://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/j/jimi_hendrix/pali_gap_btab.htmand the other guitar pro tab that was on here previous to mine, . I don't know the contributor screen name, but that's the one I basically learned the song from. The guitar parts are based on that tab, I changed a few parts here and there and alot of work still needs to be done on my part because I haven't perfected playing it yet. I swapped some of the parts around between rhythm and lead because after listening over 1000's I believe the parts were flipped around. It is very hard to notice which is why I enjoyed this song so much. Everything in the song meshed together perfectly. If you play any part individually, it doesn't seem like it makes any sense. But once you start adding the other instruments into the mix, that's when it all starts making sense. The most important element in the song to me is the percussion instruments played by Juma Sultan. I actually tabbed out the percussion but I can't figure out how to get them to upload into ultimate guitar. Billy Cox's bass line is my favorite part of the song, but I have no least favorites. In the past four years I have been studying music theory and playing guitar, bass, piano some sax and drums and percussion. I can bow relatively put an entire tab together in a few hours, especially if I know the song by heart.
My percussion parts are not perfect, not even close, I am still learning percussion basics. If anyone is willing to help perfect this song and add the percussion instruments, I would be very thankful.
