Capo on 4th Fret.

[Verse 1]

     A D
Don't sing love songs you'll wake my mother,
                A Bm
She's sleeping here right by my side,
           G Em
And in her right hand, a silver dagger
              Bm-G A
She says that I can't be your bride

[Verse 2]
(same chords progression)

All men are false, says my mother,
They'll tell you wicked, lovin' lies.
The very next evening, they'll court another,
Leave you alone to pine and sigh.

[Verse 3]
(same chords progression)

My daddy is a handsome devil
He's got a chain five miles long,
And on every link a heart does dangle
Of another maid he's loved and wronged.

[Verse 4]
(same chords progression)

Go court another tender maiden,
And hope that she will be your wife,
For I've been warned, and I've decided
To sleep alone all of my life.

I believe the Capo should be on the 5th

the song seems to be in the key of D

the chords are correct though, as far as I can tell

I agree that this song is capo 5, but I think these are the most accurate chords.

A |: E A
A F#m
D Bm
F#m E :|

He's definitely playing in a different tuning, though I don't know what it is or what the chord shapes are.

Definitely capo 4 to me playing along to the song. I pull off the 1st finger of both the A and D chords to give a similar sound when strumming.
Wish there was a short tab for the lick before each A & D though.
