                             REFUGE - John Legend
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Simoom

I've tabbed this song when listening to John's album "John Legend - Solo
Sessions Vol. 1 Live At The Knitting Factory". It's not in the same key as
the studio recordings on his album "John Legend".

It's quite simple - played on the piano. Since the keynote in the chords are
changed it's trickier to play on the guitar. If you want to play it anyway -
just forget about the changed keynote or try to use these chords: (I'm not
absolutely sure they're right though!)

C/E: 002013
F/C: X33211

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intro:
C/E F G F

Verse 1:
C F/C
I pray for better days to come
G/C F/C
I pray that I would see the sun
C F/C
    Cuz life is so burdensome
G/C F/C
    When everyday's a rainy one
C F/C
But suddenly there's no more clouds
G/C F/C
    I believe without a doubt
C F/C
That heaven sent an angel down
G/C F/C
And then she turned my life around
C F/C
    You know and I know
G/C F/C
    Friends come and friends go
C F/C
    Storms rise and winds blow
G/C F/C
But one thing I know for sure

Chorus:
          C/E F G
When it's cold outside
                     F
There's no need to worry cause
    C/E F G
I'm so warm inside
              F
You give me peace
         C/E F G
When the storm's outside
               F
Cause we're in love I know
      C/E F G
It'll be alright
               F
Alright it's alright

C/E F G F
Oooh...

C/E F G F

Verse 2:
C F/C
Now peace is so hard to find
G/C F/C
    We're terrorized and victimized
C F/C
But when I close my eyes
G/C F/C
And think of you to ease my mind
C F/C
You take me to another place
G/C F/C
There's no more war, just love and grace
C F/C
    Baby you restore my faith
G/C F/C
I know the struggle's not in vain
C F/C
    You know and I know
G/C F/C
    Through all the battles
C F/C
    Baghdad to Israel
G/C F/C
There's one thing I know for sure

Chorus:
          C/E F G
When it's cold outside
                     F
There's no need to worry cause

(Keep playing the same chords)
Cuz you give me peace
In the middle of the storm
When it's cold you're keeping me warm
It's alright
It's alright
I'm never gonna leave
You give me what I need
It's alright, alright
