Oh Sandy Grey, are you going away?

C Em/C Dmin (Trill 1st finger)
Leave me a message before parting

C Em/C Am
Time has changed you and the things that pain you

F G
Are the things you think of as you're starting

Instrumental Break F G F G

C Em/C F C
Oh Sandy Grey, it's only this I'll pray

C Em/C Dmin (Trill 1st finger)
That you might stay here one more day in laughter

C Em/C Am
Won't you hang around and hold me, repeat all the lies you told me?

F G
Do your rambling after

Instrumental Break F - G - F - G

C Em/C F C
Oh Sandy Grey, what ever made you want to stay?

C Em/C Dmin (Trill 1st finger)
And now what makes you want to be a-leaving?

C Em/C Am
Is it the same thing they found when they laid your father down

F G
Or are your reasons even worth retrieving?

C Em/C F C
Oh Sandy Grey, don't leave me just today

C Em/C Dmin (Trill 1st finger)
Don't think on the road you'll be a-going

C Em/C Am
Think of all the time and the days we've had to mind

F G
Of the future there's no way of knowing

C Em/C F C
Oh Sandy Grey, I thought I heard you say

C Em/C Dmin (Trill 1st finger)
That you ain't heard one word that I've been speaking

C Em/C Am
There's no use in trying you escaping from my mind

F G
And I'll never see the world you're seeking

Did you mean to put the F sharp on the high e string for the G chord? I don't think he's playing a major 7th there..
