[Verse 1]

          >
Strum: DUDUUDU

          G
There's a black man With a black cat
Livin' in a black neighborhood
He's got a interstate runin' through his front yard
            F C G
You know he thinks he's got it so good
There's a woman In the kitchen
Cleanin' up the evenin' slop
        F C
And he looks at her and says hey darlin
                           G
I remember when you could stop a clock

[Chorus]

          >
Strum: DUDUUDU

              C G C
Oh but ain't America for you and me Ain't that America
             G C D
Somethin' to see baby Ain't that America home of the free
                       C
Little pink houses for you and me

Riff 1 (x2)

[Verse 2]

          G
There's a young man In a t-shirt
Listnin' to a rock n' roll station
He's got greasy hair greasy smile
         F C G
He says Lord this must be my destination
Cuz they told me When i was younger
Said boy you're gonna be president
          F C G
Just like everything else those old dreams kinda went away

[Chorus]

                   C G C
Oh well ain't that America for you and me Ain't that America

             G C D

                       C

G
Well there's people And more people
But do they no,no,no
Go to work in the summer
      F C G
And vacation down at the Gulf of Mexico
And there's winners And there's losers
Thinkin' no big deal Cuz the simple man baby
          F C G
Pays the thrills the bills, the bills that kill

[Chorus] (x2)

                  C G C

very good - but if you're going to sing this one too, verse 3 is: 'Well there's people..and more people
But what do they know, ho whoa-ew-o?
Go to work in the summertime
And vacation down at the Gulf of Mexico...ew, yeah!'

Seems like everyone has the wrong key for this song but right chord progression. I might be wrong but its too low to sing in the key of C as you have it here. Everyone has it in the key of C with the D being the fifth of the 5th. It should be in the key of G with an A chord as the 5th of the 5th. So its mostly a V IV I. When he hits the key in the chorus its on "America".
