Johnny Clegg - DELA
Original lyrics: http://www.johnnyclegg.com/lyrics/ccbw.html#4

[Intro]
D A G D x4

[Verse]
D A G D
One day I looked up and there you were
D A G D
Like a simple question looking for an answer
D A G D
Now I am a whale listening to some inner call
D A G D
Swimming blindly to throw myself upon your shores
    D A G D
But what if I don't find you when I-- have landed
D A G D
Would you leave me here to die on your shore stranded?
|* D A G D *|
|* I think I know why the dog howls at the moon *| x2

[Pre-Chorus]
       D A G D D A G D
I say: De--la! De--la! Ngiyade--la! When I'm with you!
D A G D D A G D
De--la! Sonde--la mama! sonde--la I burn for you!

[Chorus]
D G A Bm
I've been waiting for you all my life hoping for a miracle
D G A D
I've been waiting day and night, day and night
D G A Bm
I've been waiting for you all my life waiting for redemption
D G A D
I've been waiting day and night I burn for you

[Instrumental]
D A G D x2

[Verse]
  D A G D
A blind bird sings inside the cage that is my heart
    D A G D
The image of your face comes to me when I'm alone in the dark
D A G D
If I could give a shape to this ache that I have for you
D A G D
If I could find the voice that says the words that capture you
|* D A G D *|
|* I think I know, I think I know *| x2
|* D A G D *|

[Pre-Chorus]
       D A G D D A G D

The chorus should be D A G Bm, I think. Also, to alternate a bit, when playing the verse, I suggest a D5 first as, e--5-- B--3-- G--2-- D--0-- A--x-- E--x-- To get more variation in the sound. Not that he play it like that. But it sounds a bit monotone to play D both times.
