June & Johnny
The Wonderlands: Darkness
Jon Foreman

Tabbed by Matt Giesmann

 [Notes]
-For Bdim, I play x20320.
-It sounds good if you pick the bass notes.
    -from the G to the C in the verses: G A B C
-from the C to the Am in the last Chorus: C B A

[Intro] C

[Verse 1]
C Bdim Am
Coming down the highway like a fright
         G F
Laughing three o’clock at night
         G
With the desert stars above
C Bdim Am
Singing June and Johnny's songs
         G F
You felt pretty, I felt strong
    G
And no one called our bluff
    Am Em F G
And love was a simple song

[Chorus]
         C Bdim Am G Am
And I'll hold you all my life
       F G C
Like a memory at the back of my mind

[Verse 2]
C Bdim Am
Summers come and go so fast
           G F
Close your eyes the moment's past
     G
And another year is gone
C Bdim Am
We built our castles in the sand
           G F
The higher tide had other plans
    G
But I'm still holding on
    Am Em F G
And love was a fragile song

[Chorus]
         C Bdim Am G Am
And I'll hold you all my life
       F G C
Like a memory at the back of my mind

[Interlude]
C Bdim Am G F G x2

[Verse 3]
C Bdim Am
Darling nothing stays the same
        G F
We were born without a name
    G
And that’s the way we'll die
C Bdim Am
But even when the memories fade
        G F
What we have is still ingrained
     G
It's written down inside
    Am Em F G
And love was our timeless song

[Chorus]
         C Bdim Am G Am
And I'll hold you all my life
       F G
Like a child asking why
         C Bdim Am G Am
And I'll hold you all my life
       F G C Bdim Am G
Like a memory at the back of my mind
       F G C
Just a memory at the back of my mind

Cool tab. Agree on almost everything.
I think the Bdim chord is called a G/B chord or something (only pressing 2nd fret A string and 1st fret B string) and also I'm pretty sure the Em in the "pre-chorus" should be an E major chord.
