Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
Now I realise the fact that the recording is piano only, so this is my
personal interpretation which I find works well when performing it. It
sounds pretty close for the most part... But in the "My love goes free"
part, I play C/Am7 which I think he just stays on Am7 after the first
switch and ends on C, but it sounds good when performing so I hope you
enjoy.

Oh and if you have a correction please post it and I'll check it out
and fix it up when I get the chance. Cheers!

Note: The D# chord can be played a few different ways, I'm simply putting
my preference to what I find easiest.

Tuning: Standard
Timing: 4/4

Chords:

B|-1---1----1---1----1---1--1----3----4--|

     C Csus Gsus
The Movement comes in slow
       C Csus Gsus
It's a tune we both should know
        C Dm9
But the walls are thin
      Fmaj7 C / Csus / Gsus
So we keep our voices low

         C Csus Gsus
You're a bird with a pretty mouth
         C Csus Gsus
You're a bird with songs to shout
         C Dm9 Fmaj7
And the same refrain continues
           Am7
Singing out

        Fmaj7 C
If you love her let her go
       Gsus Am7
If you love her let her go
          A#maj7 F
She sings beautiful and slow
  D# Gsus C / Csus / Gsus
A tune that only caged birds know

             C Csus Gsus
So you're in Nashville on the phone
     C Csus Gsus
And I'm back here at home
        C Dm9
And the words are new
       Fmaj7 Am7
But I recognise the tone

       Fmaj7 C / Csus / Gsus / Am7
If you love her let her go
       Fmaj7 C
If you love her let her go
       Gsus Am7
If you love her let her go
       A#maj7 F
She's beautifully composed
  D# Gsus C / Csus / Gsus
A tune that only caged birds know

C / Am7 C Am7
       My love goes free...
             C Am7
My love goes free...
             C Am7
My love goes free...
             C
My love goes free...

Hey, nice tabbing for a beautiful song.

The C that you were unsure of at the end of the chorus is actually an Eb, but he sings a C so that's why the note sounded right. Also, I think the A#maj7 is actually an F with a A# bass (F/A#), though it's not a biggie.

THANKS!

Ahah! You're very right with the D# my friend.

I can see why you would think it could be an F/A#, but that A#maj7 is one of the chords I'm most positive about so I won't be changing that. It's a beautiful chord and find it very apt for that part of the song.

But right now I'm changing that C to Eb now. Cheers once again. I think I listened to the song for too long lol...
