[Intro]
F, C, G/C, Am (x2) End On F

[Verse 1]
        C G/C Am F
I'm not sure why it always goes downhill
           C G/C Am
Why broken cisterns never could stay filled
          F
I've spent

[Chorus]
    C G/C Am
Ten years singing gravity away
        F C G/C G
But the water keeps on falling from the sky

[Verse 2]
F C G/C Am F
So here tonight while the stars are blacking out
           C G/C Am
With every hope and dream I've ever had in doubt
          F
I've spent

[Chorus]
    C G/C Am
Ten years trying to sing these doubts away
        F C G/C G
But the water keeps on falling from my eyes
    F C G/C Am F
And heaven knows, heaven knows
                  C G/C G
I tried to find a cure for the pain
F C G/C Am F
Oh my Lord, to suffer like you do
              C G/C Fbar
It would be a lie to run away

[Verse 3]
            C
So blood is fire
G/C Am F
pulsing through our veins
              C G/C Am
We're either riders, or fools behind the reigns
         F
I've spent

[Chorus]
    C G/C Am
Ten years trying to sing it all away
        F C G/C G
But the water keeps on falling from my tries
    F C G/C Am F
And heaven knows, heaven knows
                  C G/C G
I tried to find a cure for the pain
F C G/C Am F
Oh my Lord, to suffer like you do
              C G/C Fbar
It would be a lie to run away
  C G/C Fbar
A lie to run away
              C G/C Fbar
It would be a lie to run away

[Bridge]
            C G/C
It keeps on falling
            Am F
It keeps on falling
            C G/C
It keeps on falling
            Am
It keeps on falling
        F C G/C G
And the water keeps on falling from my eyes

[Outro]
    F C G/C Am F
And heaven knows, heaven knows
                  C G/C G
I tried to find a cure for the pain
F C G/C Am F
Oh my Lord, to suffer like you do
              C G/C Fbar
It would be a lie to run away
  C G/C Fbar
A lie to run away
  C G/C Fbar
A lie to run away

perfect!
To pick it like him, pick the top note of each chord.
For example. The
F:
Eb]--3-]
Bb]--1-]
Gb]--2-]
Db]3---]
Ab]----]
Eb]----]
