CAPO 1!

Intro: G Em G Em

[Verse1]
G
 You became someone so close
Em
 That person I could trust
G
Why did it end up this way?
Em
What happened to the both of us?
C D
I, I'm tearing up inside
                       G Em
I'm on a rollercoaster ride

G
 Thinking of those memories
Em
How your touch was so soft
G
Your eyes, they were so green
Em C
I would have never known how much
              D G Em
You'd come to mean everything to me

[Chorus]
   G Em
Virginia is for lovers
      C D
And I wonder where do all the others go
    G Em
And your heart belongs to another
         C
And I'm leaving
D G Em
Virginia is for lovers anyway

[Verse 2]
G
No matter how long were apart
Em
I find it hard to let go
G
 I'm sitting her so restless
Em
 Time is moving so slow
C
I, I hate that I'm looking back
D G Em
 Reminiscing on photographs

G
You were like my other half
Em
We were perfect on our own
G
 Then everyone came back
Em
Got harder to get you alone
C D
See the hurting on my face
                           G Em
You were looking the other way because...

[Chorus]
   G Em
Virginia is for lovers
      C D
And I wonder where do all the others go
    G Em
And your heart belongs to another
        C
And I'm leaving
D G
Virginia is for lovers anyway

Uh, oh

[Bridge]
Em
I never got to tell you
C G
  You walked away
            D
You left me there
Em C
And you won't change no matter what I do
            G
But I still care
             D
And I'm still here, yeah yeah

[Chorus]
   G Em
Virginia is for lovers
      C D
And I wonder where do all the others go
    G Em
And your heart belongs to another
         C
And I'm leaving
D G
Virginia is for lovers anyway

Sounds quite good with barre chords (way up on the fretboard with F based on 13th fret) I transposed down a few so that the starting note is an F, and second note Bm on the 10th fret, etc. A little lower and easier for me to sing. When I play this with barre chords I get more notes of each chord to sing for me and it sounds great. I am not a pro like some of you.
