D D Bm A G G
D D Bm A G G

[Verse 1]

D A
She's as free as bluebonnets in the summer
Bm G
She's as hot as the Padre Island sun
D A
Most of the time, she's as warm and friendly
         Bm A G
Like the hills that surround Austin

[Chorus]

G
She's as bright as the Dallas sky
D
She always holds her head up high
     Bm A G
She loves the company of her family
G
She has faith in God's greater plan
D
She trusts I'm a good man
    Bm A G
And that's why I'll always believe
G A
She's like Texas
And she likes me

[Instrumental]

D D Bm A G G

[Verse 2]

D A
Her eyes are green like the trees in Nacadoches
Bm A G
Her teeth are white as cotton in the fall
D A
And when she laughs, you'll always take notice
Bm A G
'Cause her heart's charm will shine right through it all

[Chorus]

G
She's as bright as the Dallas sky
D
She always holds her head up high
     Bm A G
She loves the company of her family
G
She has faith in God's greater plan
D
She trusts I'm a good man
    Bm A G
And that's why I'll always believe
G A
She's like Texas
And she likes me

[Bridge]

Bm A G A
Her moods can change like the weather out in Lubbock
Bm A G A
But if you show her love, man she'll return it

[Chorus]

G
G A
Oh, she's like Texas
(Pick INTRO, end with a D strum)
And she likes me

For the most part, it looks really good. I watched the video and it looks like he actually plays: D, Bm, A, G rather than D, A, Bm, G. Just that small correction and it all looks good man. Good job

My bad, he only does that on the intro which you have. In which case, this tab looks 100%. good job

listening by ear, your 1st verse is off. The 'A' over summer is still a continued D, and there's an A over Padre. The chords for the verse are the same for the first half as the 2nd half. Also the intro is kinda tricky, it's basically the same chord progression 4 times except the 1st and 3rd times there's only one measure of G on the end. But overall pretty good job, good enough to get someone started on it. Great song BTW
