CAPO 4 | Tabbed By Jerrett O'Quinn

[Intro]

Asus2 Bm G Asus2 Bm G Asus2

[Verse]

  Asus2 Bm
She grew up around here on that southwest side
  G Asus2
Where the corn grows up to the road side
         Asus2 Bm
Went to high school here, got that Panther pride
      G Asus2 D Bm G Asus2
She’ll be cheering them on every Friday night

              Asus2 Bm
She couldn’t hide her beauty with a baseball cap
     G Asus2
Couldn’t help but shine with a heart like that
Asus2 Bm
New York called when she turned 21
     G
But she never forgot where she came from

[Chorus]

              D Bm G Asus2
I need a pretty little homegrown hometown girl
         Asus2 Bm G Asus2
With a ribbon tying back those waterfall curls
     Asus2 Bm G Asus2
I’ve been looking all over, all over the world
    Asus2 Bm G Asus2 Bm G Asus2
For a pretty little homegrown hometown girl

[Verse]

     Asus2 Bm
Her mamma’s mamma was born right here
         G Asus2
And her roots run deeper than that old town square
      Asus2 Bm
She’s a good girl but she’s not uptight
   G Asus2
She can rise and shine and she can hang all night

[Chorus]

              D Bm G Asus2
I need a pretty little homegrown hometown girl
         Asus2 Bm G Asus2
With a ribbon tying back those waterfall curls
     Asus2 Bm G Asus2
I’ve been looking all over, all over the world
    Asus2 Bm G D Bm G Asus2 D Bm G Asus2 D Bm G Asus2 Asus2 Bm G
For a pretty little homegrown hometown girl

[Verse]

   Asus2 Bm
She’s got an old soul, she’s the salt of the earth
 G Asus2
When she gives her love she knows what it’s worth
    Asus2 Bm
There’s a lot of pretty girls out there to me
             G
But there’s nothing like the one right across the street

[Chorus]

              D Bm G Asus2
I need a pretty little homegrown hometown girl
         Asus2 Bm G Asus2
With a ribbon tying back those waterfall curls
     Asus2 Bm G Asus2
I’ve been looking all over, all over the world
    Asus2 Bm G
For a pretty little homegrown hometown girl

[Outro]

             D Bm G Asus2 D Bm G Asus2 N.C
I need a pretty little homegrown hometown girl

Instead of playing Asus2, I played A and it sounded much better. The D still doesn't sound quite right to me.

Hey, bosstinaustin26!
These chords are the same chords that Josh plays at his concerts. May sound a bit different if your guitar has a more higher balance rather than a lower balance.

I'm no expert but tuned to E flat and playing the D leaving the high e open sounds pretty good. Don't know what that chord would be called?
