Em Am Edim Am
Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's,
    Em B Em
the little old bird woman comes.
       Em Am Edim Am
In her own special way to the people she calls,
 Em B Em
"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs.

D D7 G
Come feed the little birds, show them you care,
D D7 G B
and you'll be glad if you do.
      Em Am Edim Am
Their young ones are hungry, their nests are so bare
       Em B Em D
All it takes is tuppence from you."

G C G
Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
C G A D
tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag.
 G (Bm) C G
"Feed the birds" that's what she cries
C G D G
while overhead, her birds fill the skies.

G B Em B Em B
All around the cathedral the saints and apostles
     Em B Em
look down as she sells her wares.
  G D G D G D
Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling,
     G B Em D
each time someone shows that he cares.

G C G
Though her words are simple and few,
C G A D
listen, listen, she's calling to you:
G (Bm) C B
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
C Am C D
tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag."

G B Em B Em B
    Em B Em Em
    G D G D G D
    G B Em D

G C G
Though her words are simple and few,
C G A D
listen, listen, she's calling to you:
G Bm C B
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
C Am C D C - G
tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag."

Great tab :-)! To my ears, the Am in the verses can also be played Am6, and the A in the chorus can be played A7. At least that's what I hear...

Apologies, I was referring to the second Am of each verse ;-)...
