G G2 x2

[Verse]

   D Dsus2
If you ain't got two kids by 21,
D Dsus2 G
Youre probably gonna die alone
          G2 G G2
At least that's what tradition told you.
 D Dsus2
And it don't matter if you don't believe,
D Dsus2 G
come sunday morning you best be there
G2 G G2
in the front row, like your s'posed to.

[Pre-Chorus]

Gm/A# Dsus2 D
Same hurt in every heart.
Gm/A# Asus4 A
Same trailer, different park.

[Chorus]

G
Mamas hooked on Mary Kay
Brothers hooked on Mary Jane
    D
And Daddies hooked on Mary two doors down.
G
Mary Mary quite contrary,
we get bored so we get married
    Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B
and just like dust we settle in this town.
        G Dsus2 Dsus2/C#
On this broken Merry go 'round and round and round we go,
Dsus2/B Asus4 G
where it stops nobody knows
and it ain't slowin down, this merry go round

[Instrumental]

(D Dsus2 x2 G G2 x2)

D Dsus2
We think the first time's good enough,
D Dsus2 G
So we hold on to highschool love,
  G2 G G2
Say we won't end up like our parents.

D Dsus2
Tiny little boxes in a row,
 D Dsus2 G
ain't what you want it's what you know,
   G2 G G2
Just happy in the shoes your wearin.

[Pre-Chorus]

Gm/A# Dsus2 D
Same checks we're always cashin,
Gm/A# Asus4 A
to buy a little more distraction.

[Chorus]

where it stops nobody knows

we're so bored until we're burried
    Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B
and just like dust we settle in this town.
        G D Dsus2 D Dsus2

the "G2" is more likely Am13/G or Am7+4/G

spelling out the notes as a chord= A C E G (B is skipped) D

spelling out the notes as they're played = G A D G C E

new to guitar, so not sure if calling it Am13/G or Am7+4/G is correct, but thought I'd chime in that it's definitely an A minor chord with additions, not a G chord.
