The chords have to be spread out across the bars, measures and versus. Then it sounds fitting.

I haven't leaned this song completly yet and I have only bbeen playing a few months now but what I havve been able to transpose so far is Cmaj, Cmaj7, C add9, C, Am, Am sus4, Am, Cmaj,G/B, Am, G, Dm7, Am, G/B. I'm playing fingerstyle though but when I strum it it also sounds correct. Haven't. Been playing very long just curious what your thought are. For all I know the chords are completly different for finger picking lol
