D D/B A6sus4 A
You'd be surprised if you looked through the eyes a nova
Em Gm Bm Bsus2 Bm Bsus2
not recognizing the molehills on top of the star
D D/C# D/B D/A E!
cheerful and swollen he waves from his seat in a Rover
            Gm
that is his car

To judge from the fence 'round his house he must love all his children
               Gm
That`s what you think

[Chorus]

            D
But there's no time to think
        Asus4 A
Have a pill and a shrink
           Em Gm
Just don't show us how you sweat
D Asus4
Making love to your kids
       A Em Gm
is the last love that you - will - ev-er - get
D Asus4 A Em Gm Asus2 Aadd9
You`re a vanishing image of what - I - thought - I - knew
               F#!
But it goes to show
         Bm! A! E! Gm
That the man I know

[Verse]
Is kissing that cheek that she had lifted up for her fortyfirst birthday
Love is when someone you trust cuts a smile in your face
Boy had a dog and poor girl had a stroke like an earthquake
Now dog is a bird

[Chorus]
But there's no time to think
Have a pill and a shrink
Just don't show us how you sweat
Making love to your kids
is the last love that you - will - ev-er - get
You`re a vanishing image of what - I - thought - I - knew

But it goes to show
         Bm! A! E!
That the man I know
      Bm! A! E!
Has a fading glow
       Bm! A! E! Gm
In a white lampshade

[Verse B]

D D/C# Gm Bm
Tell me lampshade the truth did you cover his soul
        Gm
Did you protect all the horrible
D/A Bb Gm Bm
I shall tear you apart so that everyone knows
               C A D
What he's been carrying around

Tell me lampshade what is it you are trying to hide
Under your stinky old corduroy
I shall rip and be shattered by the shapnell of light
That I`ve been choking on always

There is a dog barking close within the range of my ear
Sounds like wants to escape the chain
He would probably bite me to death if you could
But the chain lets me spit in his face

Like the dog has a chain clinging tight to it`s neck
This man is tied to his secrecy
(a very boosted guitar comes in)
I would like to have killed him off in this last verse
But instead I removed his lampshade

She had her cheek lifted up, not check. He gave her plastic surgery for her 41st birthday.

Yes, this is a really great tab! Just another small addition: In the 4th line of the "Verse B" I suggest the chords C - A/c# (x42220) - D to the lyrics "What he's been carrying around" and so on in the next three verses. And the last tiny suggestion: When the E!-chord (476454) appears in the end of the choruses, I think it makes variations to (076454) in the first chorus (as Simon Toft wrote) and to other chords with E bass like (0-14-14-13-0-0) in the last chorus to the lyrics "Has a fading glow" and "In a white lampshade". Thanks so much for the tab! Jesper

There is a slight error in the last part of this tab, where the new chords come in. In the second line ("Did you protect all the horrible") he doesn't play a Gm chord, he plays a Gm7/bb chord. All you can hear is the bass, which plays a Bb, but this is the minor 3rd in the Gm chord. The next line holds the same error. It should say: D/a Gm7/bb Hm "I shall tear you apart so that everyone knows" In case you're wondering, this is what Gm7/bb looks like: Gm7/bb: 653333 Otherwise a really great tab ;) Jeppe
