Effects
This song is played on a Fender Telecaster, that's really all I know. And of course with some distortion.

Verse 1, no guitar
I wanna run from the apathy
From the questioning tongues
And the eyes that just won't come off
And get a job in an industry
Where a smile's not required
And the complaints are always the same

Verse 2, riff 1
Cause baby you must me so fed up
With a boy that keeps telling you
How much good he's gonna do
When all that is happing 'round here
Is happening in here
And nothing gets out there
Except for the truth

Chorus
   E5 H5
It's up to you
           C5 A5 G/h
Cause I'm absolutely numb
     C E5
It's up to you
          Am C D5
Cause I'm absolutely numb

Bridge

E-------------------|-------------------|-----------------|-----------------|

Verse 3, riff 1
I've been adrift on the silver surf
And I've paddled ahead of the fear
That I'd fall behind
I took drinks from the glitter smurfs
And their company dads who never
Stood by in the crying

Verse 4, riff 1
Cause no one does and nobody ever will
There is only space for one
And surely he gets killed
When the engine seizes up
You might call it existential crisis
I simply call the bravery
Of emptiness

Chorus
   E5 H5
It's up to you
           C5 A5 G/h
Cause I'm absolutely numb
     C E5
It's up to you

Cause I'm absolutely numb

The last two chords in the poly-rhythmic Outro are:

Bb(add9)
6 8 10 7 x x
(or 6 x 3 5 3 x)

Em/G
3 2 2 4 x x

Great tab!
But In the chours instead of playing a normal H (B), I would play:
H/eb
x 6 9 8 7 x

In the end I like to play the two acoustic chords as a Bb6 and a G6:

Bb6:
6 (8) 5 7 x x

3 (5) 2 4 x x

Enjoy!
